Bad take.
I am a big fan of Lamboland and what he does.. and that is why I am a top 500 user of @prjx_hl
That being said, his take misses some obvious points.
Lamboland "made it" big using an "InfoFi light" process with Pacmoon on Blast.
So he used a double farm to garner attention. Sound familiar?
The reason why Lambo does not need InfoFi now is because he has influence.
MOST of the builders in the space do not have influence, so they need to hire KOL's and/or use InfoFi for distribution.
So ProjectX is doing well because of 3 reasons.
1.) As stated above... Lambo's influence and marketing ability.
2.) They have their internal farming system.
3.) They have a great product.
With that combination, ProjectX should gain sticky users who will stay, even after TGE.
Now.. the only difference between those three points and a @xeetdotai campaign is #1 is swapped with a Tournament on Xeet.
#3 is up to the builder. If they have a product that works as well as ProjectX, then they will see very similar success.
i could not think of anything more -ev to do as a builder than integrating infofi
it completely distracts you from what is important
the goal should be to create an amazing experience that people want to be a part of
but if your solution to getting ugc is infofi you're completely disregarding all the hard work you have to do to get people to organically talk about your project
i personally think a good referral program is all you need as people are rewarded proportionally to the value they bring
if the only reason people talk about your project is because you are paying them, that is obviously not gonna result in content people want to consume
infofi psyops builders into thinking they have product market fit when in reality that could not be farther from the truth
Oh.. and we have the data to back our claims.
